Remote cooperation with two-man rule
A two-man rule or the dual-control can be used in various areas as a protection. It means two people are needed to confirm a certain critical activity or decision.
Some security policies require for data record modification the consent of two people before the changed data is actually inserted. The two-man rule raises the respective decision to a higher security level. It is used to control and secure decisions or activities. The aim of such measures is to avoid the risk of errors and misuse of granted rights.
This security measure is also required for remote collaboration.
With the “Dual Control” module, which is integrated into VISULOX, the two-man rule is synchronous and implemented in such a way which allows no bypasses. To ensure a permanent two-man rule, the presents of both parties while working in Dual Control mode must be confirmed. Hence an approach from the IT Baseline Protection Catalog of the BSI (Federal Office for Information Security), and ISO 27001 are met.
Additionally particularly sensitive work can also be recorded and stored auditable in order to provide additional security.
